NHS IVF waiting times Kent

Hi all, we're currently undergoing fertility tests and have our 2nd appointment with fertility consultant to discuss next steps soon. Having already had 1 unsuccessful IVF round privately, we're keen to try again with NHS funding. Can anyone help me understand the process from this point on and advise on current wait times from this point to treatment? Thank you for your help!

@Gek100 thanks so much for the info! Good to know rough timescales and what to expect going forward. We are Canterbury way so I don’t think we will be referred to guys, I think it will probably be Tunbridge wells. Sorry you’ve had such a long journey, those 10 weeks must have felt like a lifetime!! Hello everyone

my partner has been diagnosed with extremely low sperm count and recommended that we would need IVF /ICSI. We have been referred to fertility clinic this week , does anyone know how long after referral for first appointment ? What the process is once you are ‘in’ and then how long before you could start treatment ?
think it would be Tunbridge wells end up

any help or advice would be appreciated , we are very over welded and really destroyed over the recent news so trying to take it all in

really grateful to have found this post as also in a similar situation and not getting any info or insight from our gp at all. The Darenth hospital website said 2-6 weeks for referrals but our appointment is 18 weeks after our GP appointment, and 11 weeks from the referral being processed.

I’m on borrowed time before my endo grows back to the point of needing further surgery so really trying to weigh up private versus waiting. Might look into Kind though as that’s a similar cost to the IUI we were looking at doing in the meantime due to the PCOS.
