Hi there 🤗

I was literally about to make a post and then I saw yours.

I have one child who is 5 who I conceived naturally and without trying TBH.

However, since 2019 I have been trying for a 2nd and have not been so lucky this time round.

After some investigation, which has taken AGES, I was told that I hav polycystic appearance on my right ovary (too many follicles) left is behind my uterus but appears to be ovulating. Periods are between 28 - 37 days so they really do change each month but the fertility nurse was adamant that this counts as regular cycles.

However, getting to the point, after all the investigations, I have my consultation tomorrow morning and I am hoping that I will be granted a prescription for Clomid. The fertility nurse did ask whether I would fund IVF, so I am very nervous as to what will be said to me. I have been an emotional wreck all week!

I can let you know what has been said tomorrow if you like? Xxx

Oh good luck! Fingers crossed for you! I'm sure Clomid is definitely reccomended for PCOS so you should try push for that before funding IVF of youve some symptoms! There's no harm?!
I don't think we'd get it tbh, my little boy was from a round of IVF (funded) but I don't really understand why it's not worth a shot rather than more IVF! But yes please keep me posted, and good luck again!

Hi,

I was prescribed Clomiphene two months ago and have not successfully conceived yet, keeping my fingers crossed.

I was prescribed it after the consultant told me they think I'm not ovulating regularly. I had quite a few tests including a HSG scan (tube flush) before they prescribed it.

In honesty I'm not entirely sure Clomiphene will work as I'm not sure if there's something else going on following a miscarriage last year but time till tell.

I wish you well and hope you get Clomiphene and it works for you!

Hi 👋

I have been prescribed Clomid. They did ask whether I could afford IVF and I said I couldn't not so they have put me on a 6 month trial of Clomid. Fingers crossed xxx

Hi everyone
Just wondering if you had any luck with clomid?

ChaosAndCuddles · 09/02/2024 16:32

I was prescribed clomid as I was not ovulating (I already had 2 children naturally but wanted a third). Didn’t work the first round at 50mg. However, worked the second round and conceived 2 but only 1 survived past 12 weeks (now a healthy 1 year old).

I would say be prepared for multiples, just in case, as I had actually ovulated 3 eggs on that cycle!
