Hello amazing mums

My partner(39) and I(35) have been trying to conceive without any luck, and we're now considering IVF as an option.

We are considering CRGH, we need your inputs on whom to choose as a consultant in CRGH Portland.

If any of you have personal recommendations, it would be very helpful.

Your input could truly helpful for us and would be much appreciated :)
Thanks xx

We are with Saab. Purely based on friends recommendations who had twins after years and years of trying.

In my personal opinion I think all of them are ok. The patient liaison team is very poor but medical staff have no complaints about. Not very personal but it suits me. I'm interested in the final result (which is yet to come)

@CoCoaButter85 Thanks :) Did you go for access fertiility program ? If you dont mind, how much did they charge ?

Before going for IVF, do they suggest any other medications or procedures that are simple to start with?
From the initial consultation to IVF, how long did it take ?

Do you know what the difference is between patient liaision and the nursing team? I am with CRGH and always messaging the nursing team on the portal and was wondering what patient liaision is for...

I'm with Dr Ozturk. I've only ever tried one clinic and him, so it's hard for me to really say as no one to compare with. I have no issues with him, seems nice etc. With egg freezing I feel the protocol I have is very standard, so I have no negatives but also feel I'm a very standard patient. I would say in general I've found you have to push and do your own research, for example I read about DHEA and asked to be on it, they didn't recommend it themselves...

@biscuitsndtea I did embryo batching, testing and transfers at CRGH. I was with Mr Theodorou and loved him. Very responsive and supportive. Like @EggFreezing36 says I do feel they use a pretty standard protocol so you have to do your own research and advocate for what you need. Mr T was very good at listening and letting me do what I wanted within reason!

Would avoid CRGH overall if possible - constant mistakes, no consideration for individual circumstances - just standard protocols. We have male issues and met with Ozturk once. He kept droning on about a specific thing we didn't want and didn't have good answers for our questions. We switched after but the second consultant isn't much better in terms of considering what you want.
