How long did it take for you to ovulate after a freeze all cycle?

I had a freeze all cycle due to OHSS risk. I have been told I need to wait 1 full cycle eg withdrawal bleed, ovulate, and then can start medicated FET on first proper period.

I had my withdrawal bleed 1 week after egg collection. That was 2 weeks ago and no sign of ovulation in sight!

How long did it take to have a proper period after IVF? Just trying to gauge timelines for myself.

Hi im in the same boat as you waiting for period to start to start transfer and ive no sign of ovulation either. Ive been told by several people it will likely be later than normal as body is still a bit messed up. One girl i spoke to had a 42 day cycle while ive heard of others waiting nearly 6 weeks! I keep worrying how long mine is going to take but i find stress delays periods so trying not to worry too much. Ive been doing ovulation tests to get some sort of idea of when it will come but no positive yet!

Also same boat! I didn’t ovulate my cycle after the freeze all and I’m mid cycle 2 post collection with no ovulation in sight. I have a scan on Monday and will be quizzing them on what this means for a possible transfer at end of July as previously planned…

Hey, currently in my 2WW post FET. I had to wait forever for my period to turn up! I got one 2 weeks after EC and then had to wait 50 days for the next one to turn up. My period is normally like clockwork so I think the hormones from EC just completely messed me up. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to stress, it will eventually show.

same here. I'm around 10days late now. will test tomorrow and call clinic on Monday. as frustrating as it is, unfortunately it is not unusual

41 days until my proper period arrived x

Thanks for all the responses. My clinic said I could take provera to induce a period if it ended up being a really long cycle (40 days plus) so hoping it shows up soon!

I know this is an old thread but I’m in the same position so glad to have read other stories… egg collection last cycle and bled 10 days later. Now waiting for next period to start for FET but I’m on CD20 and still no sign of ovulation (7 days late!). We also hoped to have a sneaky try this month but seems we’re chasing a never-appearing ovulation.

@Labradoodlepup did you still get a period even if you didn’t ovulate? I don’t know how that would work! Did you need to have a proper ovulatory cycle before starting the FET cycle?

Hi @Sierra26 - I just went back and checked for you, I ovulated on the 13th of July after a 12th of June egg collection - so about a month after collection. The cycle ended up being 40 days from withdrawal bleed from collection to next period.

Unfortunately that cycle ended it a miscarriage but I am not 29 weeks pregnant with a baby boy :) all the best!

So ovulated CD26 though not sure you can really think like that post egg collection as the withdrawal bleed isn’t really a new cycle starting! Still hope :)
