1% Motility

We think that this could be due to covid and some medication he was on. His motility went from 17% to 1% in 3 months but the count went from 15 million to 56 million in 3 months. The last test was in January.

We are too scared to take another test just yet but we need to. Has anyone had a similar experience where the sperm test results varied widely? For all we know it could be within normal parameters now (however that might just be wishful thinking).

If it stays at 1%, is IVF even an option for us?

Hi @Jess412 , my husband had motility of 2% and low count etc due to a varicocele so different circumstances, but we had IVF with ICSI where they inject the healthiest looking sperm into the egg directly so motility is no longer a factor. Got pregnant in first round, now 38 weeks, was 2nd transfer of first round and got 6 healthy embryos from 7 eggs so was a good round despite us thinking it wouldn't be due to low parameters. ICSI is amazing, so so grateful it exists! X
