Hi all

Anyone else in the Two Week Wait who wants to hang out on this thread with me to pass the time 😂

Same sex couple, Ovitrelle trigger on 22nd, IUI on 23rd. So currently 6 days post trigger, 5 days post IUI.

Should add for our IUI it's actually an 18 day wait!!! If you can believe it. However this time I am "testing out" the trigger shot as I needed to feel like I was doing something.

Coming up for me! I have my scan on Friday; then hopefully IUI somewhere in the next few days after. It’s my last IUI attempt before IVF, so they upped my Gonal-F stimulation.

I tested out my trigger shot last IUI cycle. It cleared by day 9!

lisbeth1 · 28/06/2023 14:14

Yay! Hi! Excited for you. Do you mind me asking how many cycles you have done? We're on our second and I think plan to do three before moving to IVF. Testing out the trigger and it was already super faint the day after, not sure what that means. Now it's still showing (6 days post) but super, super faint indeed.

What is Gonal-F? I'm on Letrozole (tablets) as stim and then Ovitrelle trigger before the IUI :)

Hello, I'm in the two-week wait. It's my second IUI attempt, my first was in Feb and unmedicated, but this time I decided to do it medicated. I took my trigger shot on the night of the 25th and had my IUI on the morning of the 27th.

Hey! I'm on second IUI too, so in the same boat :) how are you feeling?

SoloQueerPregnancy · 02/07/2023 19:06

I'm having some painful cramps and crying at everything today. How about you?

lisbeth1 · 02/07/2023 21:48

Aw, I know that feeling well! Sending you all the best and hoping tomorrow a bit easier.
I’m feeling fine tbh, just impatient to know one way or another. I symptom spotted all throughout my first medicated IUI (which was unsuccessful) so now I know which symptoms are a result of the progesterone pessaries I’m taking so not symptom spotting this time!

SoloQueerPregnancy · 02/07/2023 22:04

Thank you! I can't remember how I was the first time around! I don't think I cried this much. I'm assuming the majority of my symptoms are from the progesterone.

@SoloQueerPregnancy aw bless you, sending internet appropriate virtual hugs! When is your test day? I am 10 DPO I think and BFN today :(

Thank you. I'm due to test a week tomorrow. Sorry to read about you're BFN, hopefully, it's because it's too early.

lisbeth1 · 03/07/2023 19:28

@SoloQueerPregnancy Fingers crossed for you for next week’s date!

Hi guys, hope you don't mind me joining? I hope you're all doing ok? I had transfer last Wednesday and feel like I'm slowly loosing my mind! Has anyone ever tested out a double trigger? If so, how long did it take to go?

lisbeth1 · 04/07/2023 09:10

Welcome@JG23 !

I am on my second IUI so don't have experience of transfers (yet...), so I can't offer much except for general support!

What date do they usually get you to test following transfer? I tested out a single trigger (Ovitrelle) this time but I imagine you could test out double trigger just the same i.e. when it's gone it's gone. Have you been testing it out?

JG23 · 04/07/2023 09:23

Hi and thank you! Any support is great as my anxiety levels have gone through the roof! I've never tested the trigger out before, really wish I had as I've broken and tested early, now very confused with the results.

What stage are you at with the IUI?

JG23 · 04/07/2023 09:24

Should have said, my official OTD is this Saturday xx

lisbeth1 · 04/07/2023 11:02

@JG23 that's not too much longer to wait! Though that's easier said than done I know - my OTD is 11 July but I've been testing every day and yesterday I went out on my lunch break and did a second test even though I knew it would be negative!!

What is your test showing today?

This is my second IUI, medicated with Letrozole and then progesterone pessaries. IUI was on 23rd with trigger shot on 22nd, so I expect today I am 11 DPO. Had another negative test this morning (test strip and Boots early response) so it's likely not going to happen for me this go :(

Our OTD is always 18 days after insemination as I think they have to rule out any potential late implantation etc so it's a very long wait. I thought testing out the trigger would help me with the wait but I've actually become very obsessive with it and literally my whole day is just constantly thinking about pregnancy and googling / Mumsnetting!

How is everyone doing today?

I'm 12DPO and another BFN so think I'm out to be honest. Sigh. Feeling deflated.

That sucks. I'm sorry. I hope you're doing lots of nice things for yourself.

I have had a hospital and a GP visit. I might be experiencing acute kidney injury due to OHSS. I was sick none stop for two hours when I got home. I am exhausted, but also can't sleep!

KangaMumma · 06/07/2023 04:10

This is our third cycle trying after an ectopic in March (my cycles have been quite short). Ovulated on the 29th June. Since the ectopic my PMS symptoms have been quite different including sore boobs which has made me a bit crazy trying to symptom hunt in the TWW. Planning to test on Sunday (9th July) without going mad in the meantime!

lisbeth1 · 06/07/2023 10:07

@SoloQueerPregnancy Thanks love :)

Oh no!! I'm really sorry to hear you've been so sick! What are next steps - can they give you anything for it? How are you feeling this morning? x

OP posts:
lisbeth1 · 06/07/2023 10:09

@KangaMumma trying not to go mad is the best we can do in the TWW 😂symptom spotting is the worst. Even I was like "are these implantation cramps?!" yesterday when I was 12DPO with a BFN and know it's just the progesterone pessaries. I swear, you just start to lose it!

How are you doing?

Rest and plenty of liquids while I wait for my blood test results. It's all very frustrating and painful.

lisbeth1 · 07/07/2023 12:55

@SoloQueerPregnancy you poor thing, that sounds rough.

I'm feeling better today thanks, now I know I'm out and don't keep wishing and hoping every day. Just need to officially test on 11th to let our clinic know, then I can stop taking these bloody pessaries! Will hopefully have 3rd IUI mid-late August. If that doesn't work, think we'll move to IVF.
