Hi all, just wondering if this is normal at 9dp5dt? Seems really strong! Could this be cause for concern?

Any ideas if this is normal? Can u have too much hcg?

@Jodalene was it’s your first transfer? Was just 1 embryo transferred?

It was our first transfer and we had two put in. Transfer was 17th June x

@Jodalene oh wow amazing, if there’s 2 in there then maybe that’s the reason why it’s so dark. How exciting for you :) x

Would be absolutely amazing if it was. I need to stay off google they said about high hcg and ectopic etc so that's worried me, but lots saying could be twins so I'll try thinking that way haha

I was going to say that I had a double transfer recently and lucky it was successful. The tests were pinging back positive straight away and turns out this was because both had taken and hormone levels so much higher!
the IVF anxiety is real isn’t it even with a positive ! Maybe give your clinic nurses a call to put your mind at rest, I also had an early scan at just over 6 weeks which helped too.

Thank you so much. Yes it's just full of worry, my otd is tomorrow so will be calling then and getting booked in for an early scan, I think they said around 7 weeks, so in about 3 weeks time. Would be lovely if it is twins x

@Jodalene I called it :) Massive congrats to you, I bet your absolutely thrilled. Have they given you your scan date yet or is it too soon?

Yes next week on 18th for 7 week scan. They scanned me at 5 weeks + 4 as I was in hospital over weekend with OHSS so we found out before we should have and everything looks so good. We are absolutely over the moon and feel like we've won the lottery x

Well.... haha. 7 weeks scan went really well. 2 babies both with strong heartbeats. Few days later, I woke from a nap, had a big Woosh and had a load of bleeding and a huge clot about the size of my hand come away. So was absolutely terrified. Went for a scan the next day, and everything was fine!!! Can't believe it. No reason could be found for the bleeding and it's just starting to stop now. But babies are ok thankfully. Spent a tough 24 hours heartbroken thinking we'd lost them as I've only ever had MMCs so didn't know what a normal MC would be like. So scared everyday, but optimistic. 8 weeks today!

Update: Had our 12 weeks scan today. Measuring 12+6 and official due date of 29th feb 2024. Both babies look perfect and are growing nicely. My SCH has shrunk by itself and is about the size of a teaspoon now.

So we finally got to meet our babies on Tuesday at 36+5. We were team green the entire time. We had our little girl at 9:35 and our little boy at 9:36. Can't believe our luck. Two very healthy babies despite the bleeding earlier on and our previous MCs. We've been trying for almost 8 years, so this is such a dream come true. We had a fresh transfer on minimal stims and got OHSS afterwards. Just so wonderful to be able to share with people some positives for a change as it's such a rough journey and usually all you hear is bad news. As I say it took us 8 years nearly, but we got there finally and it was worth every heartbreaking moment.
