Allergies Affect Frozen Embryo Transfer?

Hi:
I am due for a FET next week and my hay fever this year is out of control. Does anyone have experience with this? I have read that women with environmental allergies have a lower chance of successful transfer (rdcu.be/deZvp).

Does it help or harm to take anti-histamines? Is anyone in a similar position or has any advice?

Thanks!

My daughter has hives and like you is so worried it will affect her chances of conceiving. She is about to start IVF shortly can you give any advice? I so hope your pregnancy went well.

I think the transfer during the time when I wrote the original message didn't work but one of the subsequent did ( at least this far) despite allergies.

I have hay fever so what I did may not work for hives but i did just basic things like keeping windows closed and running air filter at home, going for walks near water bodies where I seem to breathe easier rather than farms ( I live near lots of farms), taking shower after coming back and on bad days wearing a face mask. Also tried to not to eat things that tend to aggravate allergies. In part I did this not so much for transfer but to keep some dignity ( no fun to sneeze 100 times a minute).

In the end, I told myself that my grandmother and mother both had massive allergies but definitely had no difficulties getting pregnant... That seemed to have done the trick....

Best of luck to your daughter. IVF is rough.
