IVF novice, what to expect re timelines?

Hi all, myself and my OH have our nurse consult this week for IVF (unexplained infertility- NHS fund 1 round). We are with Care fertility.
We have also been booked in 2 days before for viral screen- they advised that they like to do this 48hr before the consult (I am not sure why?) And that from the point on the nurse consult we will be classed as in treatment. I just wondered what we might expect in terms of timeliness, if anyone can share their experiences at this stage I would be very grateful. I realise we will likely find all this out later this week but my mind is suddenly processing it all and I am keen to be as prepared as I can be!

@Wish1 I think they must just call the appointments different things at different clinics as we never had an information session, but it sounds like the same point if the process as our appt this week. I really hope it is and that things move forward quickly for you. It's really hard to just be waiting in limbo isn't it. You could always ring and ask if you will get your protocol then?

I have mixed feelings, it's strange to feel excited in some ways but then remember how shit it is to even be in this position 😂I'm also very mindful we only have 1 funded round, but trying to stay more focused on the immediate next step than think too far ahead. Although saying that, looking back at my notes the nurse said our estimate embryo transfer date (hopefully we get to that point) is 23rd/24th July which feels very surreal!

@Walker12 i think your embryo transfer will be the week before mine! Depending on when my cycle arrives next month I'm hopefully I will get a transfer last week of July 😁

That's exciting @Ellenn ☺️ I have a feeling this will be the one month when my cycle doesn't start like clockwork! Really hope it goes well for us all.
