Hello everyone, I just turned 40 and my husband and I have been trying to somehow have a child for over a year now. It is a very difficult process because around us it seems as if everyone gets pregnant easily. This puts me to shame, I feel like I'm inadequate. Every day I get angry at myself for why you waited so long if you only tried it earlier.
Have any of you over the age of forty become pregnant with IVF or other interventions? Please share with me.

@Emeti I'm 42 and 9 weeks pregnant following quite an up and down ivf journey. But it has worked for me x

@CR7 I am very happy for you. How did you go through the process? Did you have any difficulties?

It's was long and involved tbh. I did a terrible free round with the NHS. Then I went private and did duo stim which is a newish process where you do two back to back egg retrievals with only a five day break in between. I opted for genetic testing as I'm 42. Incredibly three year perfect embryos made it. Transferred one. Didn't work. Went for more investigations - Hysteroscopy and EndemeTRIO (google for more info) and the following transfer worked because we learned so much about my body xx

@CR7 It was a successful result with patience, very nice. how many embryos were in the genetic test. where did you get your IVF treatment

@CR7 Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease. I hope it will have good results for me.
I will find a good ivf center.

Go and meet with a few. Have you had any tests done? If not send off for a hertility kit online as it's a lot cheaper. X

Hi, wanted to join too :)
I am 41, husband 42, we have 2 kids (1 from previous marriage),always wanted 3 but delayed :(((( At 40 I got 3 chemical unfortunately, then stoped having even those. I am in Switzerland now, queues enormous, insurance doesn’t cover, so we are private but with Zurich hospital.. They fid tests, all good, hormones still very good. Decided to go ivf, barely persuaded them to test embyros! As with mc history and my age… Will start stimulation in August. Very nervous as they don’t do back to back egg collection so I could have more chance of a good embyro 🥺
good luck!! Xx
