Hi,
I think I might be having a chemical pregnancy.

I've recently had a FET and I started testing at 4dp5dt (11 days after trigger shot) and got a faint positive. This got darker over 5-6dp5dt. However yesterday and this morning it seems to be getting lighter on FRER.. easy@home doesn't seem to have changed much.

I'm still getting slight twinges and a mild ache (these were strong 1-3dp5dt so assuming that was implantation). But my symptoms like tingly/tender boobs and nausea have all massively reduced.

My OTD is Thursday 8th June (13dp5dt). I tested early as I go on holiday with family on Monday and wouldn't have been able to hide the fact that I'm not drinking etc.

What do you think? Honest thoughts/experiences please.

@Sj2505 from my perspective it looks like it could be. I had a chemical with my first fresh and the lines didn't change after 9dp5dt it took weeks for the lines to go down. I had lots of symptoms that slowed and then stopped. The meds don't help but I guess keep testing or get the clinic to do betas but I got that and they just said it wasn't viable but had to wait for miscarriage to happen. Never know though as maybe just slow to rise? I tend to err on the negative side but that's how I cope.

Hi @Sj2505 I'm sorry you are going through the worry of it potentially being a chemical pregnancy.
I wonder if it might have anything to do with how hydrated/dehydrated you were etc on day 6? But looking at the cheaper test it definitely looks progressively darker and don’t forget that you really need to compare it to the one two days ago vs a day ago.

I unfortunately had a chemical pregnancy however my line continued to get darker and my betas continued to double so it really is very individual but I would not get too disheartened just yet which I know is a lot easier said than done!

Really wishing you a successful pregnancy and hope it’s a sticky little embryo! ❤️

Thank you both. I have contacted my clinic who have said it will be the trigger giving false positives so not to trust any tests until at least two days before OTD.
I've kind of started my grieving process and anything from here would be a bonus I guess, but I don't hold out much hope.

I did think it was too good to be true getting such a positive on 4dp5dt, so maybe it was effected by the trigger.
I'll know one way or the other by Tuesday I guess.
I'll keep the thread updated as I hate incomplete threads myself 🙂

Update:

It was a chemical pregnancy. Line completely faded by OTD and the spotting became heavy, painful, full on AF at 15dp5dt.

I’m so sorry to hear that @Sj2505. Please be kind to yourself and take the time you need to grieve. This journey is just so hard and unfair and I hope you get a little baby at the end of it if you decide to go again ❤️
