Hi everyone, I’ve no one to ask about the topic so here I am.

I had my embryo transfer through IVF 10 days ago. I tested positive 5 days past transfer and the lines have progressed well. I started bleeding yesterday which has continued today. The bleed began with bad cramping which has since left. It began very light but seems to be getting a little heavier today, sometimes it’s dark and other times in red. I’ve continued to test and the test lines haven’t seemed to change much which I’m hoping is maybe a good sign?

i have got in touch with my clinic but they have advised me to wait until day 12 and test then. They did say that the bleeding might be due to the Crinone Gel I’ve been taken. But I’m not sure.

im looking to see if anyone else has had any experience similar and has it ended negatively or positive? My heads all over the place. I’m trying to wait but my mind won’t rest

Would you mind me asking if it was a day 3 or 5 transfer?

I can only speak from my personal experience as I have only been pregnant once and I unfortunately started bleeding and having some pain and heavy cramping around day 11 post a 5 day transfer. My line was progressing and the blood levels doubling every two days but never really going much more above being double. Regrettably in our case after a number of weeks it ended in miscarriage HOWEVER I have hear A LOT of positive stories and I believe bleeding/spotting early on in the pregnancy is completely normal and I would try and enjoy being pregnant and not worry about it too much as it’s outside our control. Try and wait to do the test on day 12 and for the medical team confirm your pregnancy. You could also probably do a blood test?

mines was a 6 day transfer, it didn’t reach blast until day 6. I’ve read a lot of positive stories on here as well, I just never heard of anyone still getting positives whilst bleeding. It’s just a waiting game x

It can feel very unfair when your tests are progressively getting darker yet you are having bleeding and cramping as it feels like those two shouldn’t go hand in hand but I think a lot of bleeding does come down to the change on hormones.

Would you be in a position to get your bloods done to see how your levels are and that might reassure you? Have you asked your clinic as to what they think about the bleeding and cramping outside of testing on day 12?

Yeah it’s all a bit confusing. They have advised me just to keep taking my Crinone Gel as prescribed and test on Sunday. I didn’t get the chance to explain I already had a positive on the phone. They said it could be the start of my period as it would be due to start around about now, but advised nothing else. My clinic doesn’t do blood tests, they just ask for you to send a letter back on day 12 to say if your test was positive or not and then they send you for a scan three weeks after.

I passed a clot which was more tissue like this evening and no bleeding or cramps since. I’ll test again over the next few days and wait it out to see how things go 🤞🏻
