Does anyone have any experience dealing with NHS South East London ICB/CCG? Waiting to hear if where we are on the list for IVF in South London after 2 surgeries to remove fibroids and trying for over 2 years.

We may bite the bullet and go private in the end as we’ve been advised fibroid could reoccur so if anyone has any recommendations private IVF services in South London that would be great too.

Any insights are much appreciated.

No advice re NHS waiting times but we've done our cycles privately with Kings Fertility - would highly recommend.

@CherryT87 - did you ever find out about timescales for nhs funding and starting ivf? My consultant today just recommended me for ivf and said it would be a couple of months until accepting for funding but no idea thereafter!

Hello! Yes so we were on the waiting list for about 3 months and then about a month before getting started with the IVF process. We’re actually with Kings and they’ve been quite good so far. Good luck!

We had out funding application submitted 30/09 and received approval on 20/10! South East London CCG, with Guy's ACU. I was surprised at it being approved so quickly, the nurse explained they've opened more clinics recently so are getting through applications quicker.

Approval call came on 20/10, we had our first appointment with Guy's 24/10, just waiting on extra blood test results and a 2nd SA before progressing.
