Hi everyone!

Im new on here and just worked out how to post! Lol!
my husband am I are looking for a clinic to start IVF and ICSI either here in London or Greece. I am 44 husband 48.
I’ve had so many consultations with different doctors/clinics here in London and last night one with ARK Greece.
Im so confused I don’t know which to pick!
any recommendations?
I’ve seen so far:
Dr krisna - lovely but a bit pushy with add ons
TFP- Boston place - very harsh doctors, very bad reviews!
IVI - Wimpole street - lovely Dr but really hurt me when performing pelvic scan! First time in my life! Next day was also painful 😣
ARK-Greece- Great doctor and great prices!

I now have a consultation with ARGH on the 26th June and a consultation with Dr Gudi - fertility plus on the 27th July.
HELP!
UK - quoted price around £14,000
GREECE- total price around £4,000

thoughts or advice greatly appreciated!
thank you!

@Felicityrose1978 i can't really help you but my friend has just used ark in Greece and thought they were really good!!

Thank you! That’s really helpful, I feel that it is so hard to choose who to go with, especially as they charge between £200 -£300 for your first consultation to meet with the doctors. I need to meet people ti get a feeling and be comfortable 😞

Hi, you need to conduct your own research to determine the success rates offered by each clinic, the amount of time and number of attempts required to achieve pregnancy, and whether a particular clinic has experience in treating patients of your age and condition. Having this information will assist you in making an informed decision. Additionally, you could visit a website like fertilityclinicsabroad, which provides a list of the best IVF clinics. Check if they have included your clinic from Greece. Good luck

Hi All! I was wondering if anyone has been or is undergoing treatment at Iakentro IVF clinic in Thessaloniki? TIA

kellydavis95 · 06/09/2023 08:04

Hi dear @Francesca1226 ! I was just going to talk about my experience at IAKENTRO to @Felicityrose1978 , I would 100% recommend Greece (at least the specific clinic I visited) as I was very impressed by the service for the prices! I did DE with my husband's sperm, I was so happy with my experience, everyone I dealt with was very human and understanding with all my concerns and Dr. Prapas made me feel like I was in safe hands. In the UK I felt a bit like product sometimes, especially considering the prices. I loved IAKENTRO, Ms. Belliou was so lovely with me and Dr. Nikos was also very sweet and professional. Cannot recommend enough!

Dear all

I am currently looking for an IVF clinic in Athens as well but one that also organises egg donation as I am 47.

@Felicityrose1978

May I ask which doctor you had your consultation with at ARK - Greece?

@Fox01 Do you know the name of the doctor your friend used at ARK-Greece?

@kellydavis95

At IAKENTRO who was the doctor you had your original consultation? Did you get pregnant on the first attempt? And how long did you have to spend in Greece?

Thank you all in advance

kellydavis95 · 06/10/2023 09:09

It was with Dr.Prapas and thankfully I did get pregnant on my first attempt! I was in Greece for 13 days because I wanted them to survey me while I followed the protocol for the embryotransfer preparation, just to be on the safe side. But they did tell me that if I had a doctor here in the UK to do the ultrasounds on the specified days, I could have flown in only for a couple of days to do the embryotransfer, so that's definitely worth discussing!

@kellydavis95 Is there a website for this please and can you share the costs?

I've also heard good things about Czech Republic but dont know which one to choose!

kiwifriend · 24/01/2025 11:23

@Felicityrose1978 Which clinic did you go with in the end? Have you had success yet? Xx

RingLightLight · 25/01/2025 14:23

I am currently in Athens and had consultations with a few clinics, both here, Czech Republic and in the UK – happy to answer any questions

kiwifriend · 26/01/2025 21:23

@RingLightLight May I ask which UK and Greek clinics you consulted with? How do they compare in terms of quality? Thanks!!

blacksnow · 27/01/2025 16:31

You can ask the clinics about their experience and success rates with patients of your age and specific condition. Also, inquire about how many cycles they think you will need to get pregnant, the expected treatment timeline, and the total cost. Some clinics may provide only general information, and it's up to you to decide whether to move forward with them. This approach will allow you to compare treatment durations and costs, with the shortest timeline likely meaning to a higher price, and make an informed decision based on the information you receive.
