should I change my fertility clinic/doctor?

Hi everyone, just wanted to get some advice/thoughts whether I should change my ivf clinic/doctor after 2 failed tries.

Both my husband and I are approaching 35 and have previously been TTC for a year, which didn't work out. So we started our ivf journey as I had diagnosed with endomitrosis with endomitroma, and DOR due to that.

We already had two cycles of ivf with our current doctor. In the first cycle, I had 4 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized but 0 reached to blastocyst. In the second cycle, the doctor changed protocol, but I only had 2 egg retrieved (there were 2 more potential ones but the endomitrioma cysts blocked the way so the doctor cannot retrieve them). Today I was told by my doctor that the 2 retrieved eggs were immature so none of them made to fertilization.

We will have a chat with my doctor this Friday but I'm feeling devastating given that after two cycles, we have not even reached to the transfer/implantation stage. I am wondering if it is still worth continue the treatment or should I seek a different clinic/doctor for a change, or at least second opinion?

I’m sorry to hear that, IVF is a tough and at times disappointing process and you have been through a lot with the two cycles. If I were you I would get a second opinion and see how you feel about it. Ask them questions of what they would do differently and how they would try and get to a)bigger number if it’s within your amh number to go after more and b) making sure the eggs mature.
I have changed clinics since my first ivf round and so far I feel happier with them as I have made a proactive decision and hoping it was the right call. Your current clinic will transfer all your paperwork over and they will have all of the background info that they can learn from.

I’m sorry OP for what your going through. I had one failed cycle at a clinic and moved to another clinic for my second cycle who had a completely different approach. I do think it’s worth moving yes as a different approach might work better and you’ll have tried another way also so won’t feel like it’s the clinic at fault.

In my case I think the first clinics approach (mild IVF) didn’t work for me and I should have gone with the second one straight away in retrospect

Thank you @FrostedFlake and @Bunniesandcreamteas for your kind reply! This is really helpful. I'll start doing some research on other clinics then.
