Looking for support - pregnant after 2 miscarriages

Hi all,

I don’t really have anyone to talk to so I’m looking for some support or even advice… I am pregnant again after 2 miscarriages in the past. We have been TTC for years, I have had surgery on my uterus and have done 4 rounds of Clomid, I also have PCOS. I found out this morning (10 dpo) that I am pregnant again and I am terrified. This time I am on Metformin, extra strong folic acid and progesterone pessaries so maybe this one will be different 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m trying not to get my hopes up. Is anyone in a similar boat? Does anyone have any advice on how to prevent another miscarriage? x

@Tigertightss hey so sorry you've had 2 miscarriages and are feeling this way. I have had 3 so absolutely know exactly how you are feeling. I was terrified to be pregnant again. I just wanted to say there is NOTHING you can do to prevent one. Of course you should avoid rare meat and alcohol cigarettes etc. but ultimately even they dont really cause miscarriages otherwise there would be no need for abortion clinics, people would just get crazy drunk to try get rid of it etc. If there was a easy way to lose them they would certainly do that first. It took me a while to realise this, you must understand that is it NOT your fault. If its going to stick it will stick, if it isnt, it won't. My 3rd one was luckily tested and came back as abnormal chromosomes and had i not had that test i would have convinced myself it was all my fault from stressing and worrying because i was so stressed but it was never going to work anyway. So please try your best to look after yourself mentally and physically. Take the drugs you need to take, keep busy. Its just a lot of waiting and see. I wish you the best of luck xx
