I'm looking for some advice from anyone who may have been in the same position, or similar and can offer any insight or maybe something that may have been missed by my consultant. Sorry in advance for the long post.
We've been trying to conceive our second child, first is 5, for the past 2 years. We thought we had succeeded last year, however this resulted in a miscarriage at 7 weeks. The pregnancy was different to my first right from the start as I had a 4 day implantation bleed which at the time I assumed was a light period, but when it stopped and I tested I got a faint positive.
Before the miscarriage we'd had an appointment booked with a fertility specialist which I cancelled, however I then re-booked. We have been through various tests the last of which was a HCS scan (tube flush) and now I'm awaiting a call from my consultant to discuss starting to take Clomiphene as they think I'm not ovulating every month. I do have my reservations about taking this as I'm concerned it could send my ovaries into overdrive if I am ovulating some months, so any advice from anyone taking this would be great.
My other concern is that this month I had the exact same start to my period that I did before the miscarriage, only this time it seems to have turned into a period so I'm wondering having done some reading if this could of been a chemical miscarriage, however all the pregnancy tests I've done were all negative.
I'm starting to wonder if my problem could be implantation, I don't really have anything to back this up but I'm really worried that if we do manage to conceive again I'm just going to keep miscarrying as I don't feel like the route of our issues has been found, just that the lack of ovulation can be fixed with this drug.
I have a call with my consultant in 2 weeks to discuss this, however the wait and disappointment of negative test each month is really starting to effect me so I just wanted to post this and reach out to anyone in a similar position as although I speak to my partner it feels a very lonely journey at times.
