CB OPK Flashing Smiley

on CD 8&9, I got a random “peak” fertility reading. Then low fertility everyday after. Now, I’ve had a high fertility flashing smiley on CD 16, 17, 18, 19, & 20. BBT went down on CD 17 & has stayed down since. Is the test not going to pick up another peak? Is it normal to have 5 high fertility days? Why did I have that random LH surge so early? Is my estrogen increasing without ovulating? Any input is appreciated!

Hey! I use those and the instructions do say not to test again once your ‘peak’ has been picked up in a cycle as it won’t register, so I think maybe you’ve confused the reader and it’s picking up what it thinks is next months ‘high’ maybe??
I have always stopped testing as soon as I’ve had my ‘peak’ result so not sure if this is normal!

Also, it depends on what’s normal for you? Do you normally ovulate that early or would ovulating on day 20+ be normal to you?

I pretty much always ovulate after day 20 & I know I didn’t ovulate after CD8 because my temps never went up. I don’t know if that peak was a fluke or what. So that’s why I kept testing. And then after the “peak” I got a “low” reading so I figured maybe it was gonna work out but now I’m not so sure…I still don’t think I’ve ovulated though. Thanks for the response!!

That is very strange!
May be worth stocking up on the cheapie stick tests so if it happens again you have a back up to double check 😬
