Hi
I wondered if anyone would like to share their experience of doing a FET at ARGC. I have had a few failed transfers elsewhere and wondering whether or not to ship my last embryos to ARGC.
Could anyone share any info on any of the following:
-their process for a FET cycle

  • what medications they took/why
-how did it work logistically...how many times did you have to go in for monitoring etc -why did you do FET (did the fresh fail?ohss?) -outcome i.e. success/failure -age/amh

I can't find much on their website re FET so any experiences would be helpful to read.

Hi @Zest11 i haven’t had a FET with ARGC but recently had success with a fresh round. When my HCG numbers were looking a bit funny I asked for the FET info so I could prepare myself. As far as I’m aware their standard approach is more laid back than a fresh round that requires daily and twice daily visits.
I think you come in on days 2-3 of your cycle for a scan and bloods, then you start monitoring ovulation and come in for a mid cycle scan. They then use progesterone support and give you a date for transfer. After transfer you will come more regularly for bloods as they will want to check progesterone levels and potentially tweak them with medication, that would be throughout your two week wait.
as a clinic they may want to investigate you further prior to starting if you’ve had failed rounds elsewhere. As far as we were concerned the issue was with my partner but after going for the immune bloods I’ve been having intralipid and steroid treatment and I believe that is what has contributed to our positive this time around. But that is a personal choice for you, but they will probably encourage it.
hope this has been helpful x
