Follicles V Different Sizes

Hi I had my first scan today, cycle day 8. I have two follicles on the right which are 19 and 24 so very big compared to the left. I have 4 on the left I think biggest was 12. Dr has increased my meds to highest dose and I am going back on Sunday for a scan. I'm guessing by then the ones on the right will be too big but hoping the ones on the left will be a good size. Has anyone been in a similar position and did you get many eggs? I'm worried that I may end up with none at all.

Mine was slightly different but I basically had 2 clusters, the cluster of bigger ones ended up being too big (biggest was 33mm at my last scan!) and ended up being cysts, the smaller ones that were 12-14mm on my last scan caught up over the last 72 hours before ER and I ended up with 7 eggs from 15 follicles.
You have to try and trust the doctors (I know it’s soooo hard!), they do this all the time and will know that the best chance is to get the ones on your left to catch up.

Thank you that's good to hear. I will hope for the best and hope Sunday's scan shows good growth on the left side. All the waiting is so hard

@try9ng It really is, and each stage just seems to get harder and harder!
I struggled with the time in between scans when I was having stims- and I was lucky they I had them every 2/3 days, then the wait to see how many embryos made it was even harder!
I haven’t done a TWW yet but from what I’ve heard / read that is the hardest part so I’m not looking forward to that!

At least you’re on the way now though, and every step gets you closer to that end goal 🤗

I think it's the hardest part of the IVF process. Unfortunately I have had 2 cycles but it hasn't worked out yet. This is our first NHS cycle and they do it differently, different drugs etc but maybe it will be third time lucky for us. Are you freezing embryos?

I have 4 frozen, should have had a fresh transfer but I got OHSS so they did a freeze all in March, hoping to do a FET next month 🤞🏼
