Impryl vs proxeed

Does anyone have any thoughts? My OH has been on proxeed for 6 months. The consultant suggested we could try switching to impryl. Does anyone have any feedback about one vs the other? TIA

My DH took them both at the same time (alternate days I think) - that was recommended by our consultant.

However, it didn't make any difference for him.

@SnapDragon5 thanks! Yes I don’t think it’ll work for us. May I ask what you did next?

it’s mainly motility for us at 25-28%. Everything else is ok. We already have children so don’t know what’s gone wrong this time!

@Anonbaby Unfortunately it's not a great story for us, as we've now moved to IUI with donor sperm. However, that's not to say it won't work out for you! Best of luck.

I know of some one who tried impryl and they had worse results

Hi @Anonbaby - I know we spoke about the urologists this morning but I just spotted this thread... My husband and I had this exact same discussion last night! My husband has been on proxeed since January and it hasn't improved anything yet but Just worried about switching things too much!

We only have experience with Impryl not proxeed so not sure how helpful this is, but we had a good experience with Impryl. My husband had very low sperm count (less than 3 million, measured on two separate occasions) and was advised to take Impryl. After taking it for 6 months, on the day of egg collection his count was 21 million. He hadn’t changed anything else so we put it down to Impryl - definitely worth a try :)
