3rd go on Letrozole

Hey,

So it's another BFN for me this morning after a third go on Letrozole. I'm on double dose with PCOS.

Why do us women put ourselves through this disappointment each month :(

I have 3 more rounds left, but not feeling hopeful.

I don't know what the point of this post is but baby dust to all! X

@FETmum i know how you feel. Cycle 5 on letrozole and still nothing. It’s frustrating and emotionally draining, but I believe we’ll get there eventually xx

Hey @WafflesNCream how many more goes do you have left? Do you have PCOS? Hopefully it works soon! What would be your next steps if god forbid it doesn't work?

I'm just waiting for AF to show up so I can begin the 4th go.

@FETmum Yes, I have ‘lean’ PCOS which apparently is harder to stimulate. I still have 2 more gos (including this one). After that we’ll be moving onto injectables with IUI. I silently resigned myself to the fact that I’ll need injections. The good news is that there are other options. Does letrozole make you ovulate? If it does, your chances are pretty high, maybe it’s just a bit of bad luck. For me it was pretty inconsistent, it made me ovulate 2 out of 4 cycles, so it’s clearly not really working for my body.

@WafflesNCream that's interesting you say you didn't ovulate some months, I didn't ovulate on the first round due to the low dose. I was told to up my dose for the last two goes but I've only had the one blood test to confirm I did ovulate but no further blood tests booked. Did you have a blood test on day 21 each month then?

We'll do whatever it takes to have another baby but only up until Christmas, I can't keep doing this every month.

@FETmum i was scanned every cycle. 1st cycle I was on 2.5 mg and that dose was too low, then they upped my dose to 5 mg, I ovulated, but didn’t get pregnant, then didn’t ovulate in the 3rd cycle. It’s a rollercoaster
