Ovulating from ovary with the blocked tube

I've (finally) had a peak in my ovulation test tonight.. however I've also had a lot of stabby pains in my left ovary all day which I assume is ovulation. My left ovary is the one with the blocked fallopian tube 😭

Am I out this month or is it really likely that my other tube can pick up the egg? It seems so far fetched as my doctor said it's uncommon.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!! Thank you

Hi! How are things going now?

I just wanted to pick up this thread to say that yes, the egg can be picked up by the fallopian tube on the opposite side.

The uterus, tubes and ovaries don’t actually sit in the spread wide position that they’re shown in diagrams 👌 The uterus sits at the front behind the bladder and the two tubes curve backwards so that the ovaries sit mostly behind the uterus. Making it very possible for them to end up right next to each other’s tubes 👍

@FrogsLegs37 hi!
Thank you so so much - you've definitely given me hope!

Currently waiting for my period that hopefully won't turn up! Although I am having mild cramps so not overly hopeful 😬
