FET- Weight Gain suprefact/buserelin and progynova

Hi all! Hope you’re having a nice weekend. I am currently in process for my first FET. I started buserelin injections 5 days ago and yesterday started my progynova oestrogen tablets at 2mg x 3 per day. I had been doing slimming work and lost 20lb so I’m fairly in tune with my weight. Since Tuesday (5days) I’ve put on 1.5kg of weight. I’m fairly petit and weighed 53kg now it’s crept up to almost 54.5kg in 5 days!!!

does anyone have a similar experience? Is it water weight/ fluid retention that will go when I stop the meds? I know it is a small price to pay but just anxious as I had worked really hard at slimming world. Thank you

Should also add I did slimming world with my sisters and don’t want them to know about the FET so they will wonder why I’ve stopped going… arghhh

HiBath2020 Just wanted to wish you good luck with your FET. I know how you feel regarding your weight, I put lots of weight during my IVF journey, started 2 years and a bit,still ongoing, never managed to lose it again despite staying active, healthy eating and so on. I had to let this go just to keep myself sane. Lots of hugs!!

thanks so much for the response and for the well wishes! I’ll find out tomorrow if the lining is where it needs to be and then I’ll maybe get my date for fet maybe - I’ve never done a frozen only fresh so no idea how it all works. Thank you anyway and hopefully it’ll be worth it!

also hope your ongoing ivf story finishes soon with great things! It’s completely shite and I wish you huge amounts of luck (which I think it all boils down to!) xx
