IVF medication help

I'm due to start taking my medication for my first round of IVF next week. I've been told to take fyremadel in the morning and ovaleap in the evening. Does anyone have experience of these? Should I be taking them a certain time apart or is it ok to take one at 7am and then the other at 9.30pm?

TIA

Hello @Jaffa01 , I am starting my EC journey in a few weeks and the clinic just prescribed the exact same protocol as yours (Ovaleap from CD2 in the evenings, fyremadel in the morning from CD6) - if you don’t mind me asking, how did you get on with this protocol? Did you have a good outcome? Would love to hear some background as I feel quite in the dark having never done any of this EVER before! Thanks in advance! ☺️

Hi @ViVRe. I found this protocol ok, i did start feeling a bit nauseous coming up to the end of the injections but only for the last few days. My clinic said that it was important to take them 12 hours apart so I did 6am/ 6pm to fit around work etc. We had 12 eggs collected but only 1 made it to day 5 blastocyst. They give 2 more until day 6 but they didn't get to a high enough grade to be frozen. Fortunately our 1 little embryo stuck and I'm now 20 weeks pregnant.

Also, I was so nervous about egg collection but it was honestly fine, can't remember a thing. Good luck for your cycle!

Thanks for your feedback @Jaffa01 really appreciated, I will try to space the two meds out by 12hrs as you suggested. Huge congratulations on your pregnancy too, I hope you have been feeling well and are prepping to welcome your little love!

I just got an invoice for my meds today…that Ovaleap must be a beast - they are charging me £318 per 900 cartridge (I am on 450iu daily dose) - did any of your medication go unused? They put a 7 cartridges order on my prescription but I am wondering whether I can get by with getting just 6 as I won’t use Ovaleap on CD1 and on the last 36hrs before collection. So probably only need max of 12days worth of it 🤔

Thank you @ViVRe

I can't remember exactly how many cartridges they give me but it was just enough for 11 days before my trigger shot.

I think i ended up taking ovaleap for 11 days before my trigger shot which was the original plan. The clinic said that I would be able to buy more from them if I needed a few extra days. I think clinics hold some if you need more.
