Ovarian cysts and TTC

Hi everyone! I had a check up with GYN this week and found out I have two cysts on my left ovary, one is 4cm and the other a smaller simple cyst. The big one could either be endometrioma or haemorrhagic (seeing a cyst specialist in 4 weeks to determine). I am worried about both especially as this came as quite a shock if I do happen to have an endometrioma: I have no symptoms or endo at all and also found out that if it’s on my ovaries then it could be stage 3. I’ve gone into a spiral googling and quite worried about it all. Anyone had any luck conceiving with either of these types of cysts?

Hi, how are you doing? Sorry can't be much help but I too found out I have a 3.74cm haemorraghic cyst and worried how this will effect us TTC. Got the scan done privately and GP has been of no use whatsoever waiting to find out from gynecology.

Hi, sorry to hear you are also in the same boat :(
I can’t help but think it is impacting my fertility as I fell pregnant super quick with baby #1, and now we’ve been trying for #2 for over a year and I suspect this cyst may have impacted the environment for pregnancy in a negative way. I’m seeing a different GYN in three weeks time who specialises in ovarian cysts so hoping to find out more then and hopefully some next steps!

Has your GP referred you to gynecology? Are they causing you any pain? Mine was causing pain the past two week which is what alerted me to go for a private scan. I know it's sounds so stupid but I was all set to start TTC in the next few months and now I am reluctant to until I know more about my cyst. Feeling so deflated and wishing I hadn't waited to have the "perfect" moment to start TTC because now that moments arrived and it's look unlikely that it's the right time. (Needed to get that out). Keeping my fingers crossed for you seeing the specialist.

No I wasn’t referred by GP and I had no pain. I booked a GYN appt as I had been TTC over a year and all other tests normal so wanted to check with GYN and that’s when the noticed the big cyst! I suggest starting ttc as you don’t know how it it all takes, could be long or could be super quick for you!

Hi, I had exactly the same type of cyst (cannot remember the size though) and was able to get pregnant straight away. I hope it’s helpful.

Just to update it caused no issues when TTC and thankfully I fell pregnant first time. By the time I had my 9 week scan the cyst was gone!
