Thin uterine lining

Has anyone else had a thin uterine lining on an ultrasound scan? Mine was 6.5mm which is apparently too thin for the egg to stick to. If so, how was this treated?
I've heard it's mostly due to low estrogen and if you've a family history of breast cancer they won't always give estrogen tablets.
Has anyone experienced this?
I'm 28 and have been trying for 16 months, so have been referred to a fertility clinic now, waiting for an appointment with the consultant.
Thanks 😊

Hi @Callie25 ! Sorry to hear your lining was thin on the scan, never what you want to hear. Are you just starting with initial tests for infertility or hve you been with the clinic for a while?
I have been doing ivf since December, i have tried to transfer an embryo back for the past two months but unfortunately my lining had been too thin each time, which is very upsetting especially as I don’t think I had this issue previously.

from my research things that can help include the following (please note not all of these may be fully scientific but things to try)

  • Estrogen (though mine was worse when using drugs….)
  • viagra
  • more protein diet
  • vitamin e
  • pomegrante juice
  • L-arginine
  • gentle exercise
  • more hydration

i also think it can just vary from month to month. They normally want 7mm minimum so it doesn’t sound like your that far away!

I've literally just been referred, these are my initial scans/bloods, but like I say, been TTC for 16 months now so obviously there is an issue there!
I had ovulated, which is what I was initially worried about, so that's good! Hoping it's just that the egg isn't sticking and once the lining has built up then I'll be ok 🤞🏼
I'd have to pay for any sort of IVF as my partner has a little girl from a previous relationship, so I'm hoping it doesn't come to that 🤞🏼
I'll try those things you've suggested. I also read somewhere that soya can help 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
