Cycle day 9 follicle count/size? First IVF cycle

Hi. I had my cycle day 9 scan today and flying to Brno tomorrow, I’m really worried about the size/number of follicles for this stage. It’s my first cycle. I’m on 125IU Bemfola and Cetrotide. The clinic have asked me to go for another scan on Saturday.

They all seem to growing at different rates and some look really small given I am on cycle day 9 as some don’t seem to have grown that much since my day 7 scan (is that normal?) but not sure if I’m panicking with it being my first cycle!

@whatajourney23 yeah fine, got 14 eggs and just have to hope a good number are mature. What about you?

That's amazing! I'm a little disappointed with mine, they got 9 eggs, said 7-8 mature and 1 poor quality.

I don't know if she used the word mature now, but do they check them straight away? Presuming that's what she meant?!

@whatajourney23 hmmmm not sure, I guess they could? I was disappointed in my second cycle with only 6 mature but that’s a good number of mature out of 9. I think this is why it can sometimes take more attempts because they have to keep adjusting the protocol to improve outcomes. But I think you’re younger than me so you probably don’t need as many embryos as we do!
