Period pains after transfer

Hi all, just looking for some hope really… I am 9DP5DT and since last night have had period pains (but no period as yet). Has anyone ever had this and gone on to have a positive result? Google tells me it’s possible but would love some real life stories to give me some hope at the moment 😞

In the same boat as you. 9DP5DT and have been bleeding a bit today (mild cramps 2DP and period like cramps 6 and 7DP). Feeling gutted. Would appreciate resposes from others with any experience (its my first round and we only had one good quality embryo that got transferred).

I had period like cramps after my last FET (from day 1 post TF if I remember correctly) and that cycle was successful for me. Everything crossed for both of you

@AfterGlow87 did the pains persist into the TWW? Did you have any bleeding at any points?

Yes I had them well into the 2 week wait, I was convinced my period was going to arrive. I didn’t have any bleeding I’m afraid - Is it fresh red or pink spotting that you’re having? Possibly implantation?

I had period like cramps on both occasions when pregnant during 2WW the cramps got worse after 2wW. Think it was embryo implanting and change in hormones. Good luck

@HopeHB I had period pains from 8DP3DT and now 37 weeks pregnant!

Thank you all so much for your replies. The positivity definitely gave me hope and I had a positive pregnancy test :) Will see what happens next, but can’t believe it. Thank you again and sending so much good luck to everyone still on the journey xx

Really pleased for you @HopeHB .. unfortunately it was bad news for me @RunningOnHope . The spotting went on to be a full blown heavy period.

@Pips11 I had 'period' pain all the way through my (IVF) pregnancy. I would think 'oh my period is coming' and then remember I was 30-something weeks. I think it's a good sign

Thanks @CycleGirl20, that's definitely helped put my mind at ease until it's time to take the test. Congrats on your successful IVF...we're obviously so used to period pains throughout our life, it's hard to know how to deal with them in a different context!?
