Echoing @Vallef - I did the same. @CHARL82 if you're getting paid / not using holiday etc take the rest of you feel you need it but if not I'd save the holiday if you can xx

CR7 · 28/04/2023 14:57

@Vallef according to amazon I've bought 37 packets of pregnancy tests. And never had a positive so I think if I got a positive I wouldn't believe it x

CHARL82 · 28/04/2023 15:21

I will hopefully get paid as my employer is supportive. I was supposed to be on annual leave next day anyway, but think they will give me my holiday back.

I've been trying to get pregnant for two years naturally. I've had a 12 month journey to my first cycle. I'm 40 years old and I have a low egg count. I wasn't expecting more than 3 follicles for retrieval however I am disappointed in the 1. Hoping for a miracle 🙏

CHARL82 · 28/04/2023 15:23

I share you pain. Praying for a successful outcome for you. I spent a fortune on ovulation kits and pregnancy tests. It's all very overwhelming and seeing everyone around you pregnant and have babies makes it even harder. However, the best things in life do not always come easy.

CHARL82 · 28/04/2023 15:24

Yes you need to rest and relax. I will try to do the same too.

CHARL82 · 28/04/2023 15:25

Thank you 💜

Vallef · 28/04/2023 16:03

@CHARL82 thanks hun and please don't worry low egg count doesn't mean it can't happen all it takes is the one! I just hate how were all suffering and wish there was more support out there for us. I keep saying if I was financially secure and didn't have to work I would love to do some kind of charity for people battling infertility. I feel there's alot of insensitivity which is the biggest thing for me. When I was told about my miscarriage at the early pregnancy unit last year I had to sit crying my eyes out looking at 2 big fat with pregnancy ladies and whilst I didn't begrudge them in any way I felt like I was being stabbed a million times over. Take all the time you can to make sure your ok xx

Vallef · 28/04/2023 16:05

@CR7 gosh hun seriously buying the tests is a compulsion your always hoping for a different result aren't you. I think am one of Boots gd clients I should be given shares. And prices for branded tests have gone so high as well!

CR7 · 28/04/2023 16:39

@CHARL82 I am 42, been trying for a few years. My amh is about 2 so very low. I did duo stim last year due to age and amh and had really good results. Maybe worth a google xx

BiscuitLover3678 · 28/04/2023 17:07

I hope everyone is ok and you’re not feeling too bad after collection @Frisbeee

I feel very lucky I got 15 eggs today. No idea about quality though so not getting too excited.

Feeling quite nauseous, anyone else?

@BiscuitLover3678 amazing news. You're probably exhausted and relieved and tired and hungry and proud and all the feelings. Be gentle with yourself xx

Frisbeee · 28/04/2023 18:43

@BiscuitLover3678 thats absolutely brilliant, well done you! will they call you in the morning to say how many have fertilised?

yes, I felt very nauseous for a few hours after. I think it’s the anaesthetic and perfectly normal. Just feeling really sore & completely exhausted now, even after a 3 hour nap!!

I’m also sleeping so much. It’s so hard to let myself rest but I know it’s important. Yep will get a call tomorrow - you? All feels a bit surreal tbh.

Xx

Vallef · 28/04/2023 19:56

@BiscuitLover3678 congrats hun 15 is so gd :) hope tomorrow is great news!!

@CR7 how you feeling today? Is it day 2? Am losing my days! First 48 hours are the most important they say.

CR7 · 28/04/2023 20:17

@Vallef So transfer was Tuesday. Does that make today day 4! Feeling ok. I never felt any different last time so trying not to google or diagnose etc. not doing too much. Lots of relaxing xx

It does feel a bit surreal, all our hard work with injections etc have led up to today!!

Yes, they said they’d call about 9.30 in the morning with an update. Fingers crossed for us both!! Let us know how you get on.

Have a good rest xx

Vallef · 28/04/2023 20:27

@CR7 nop transfer day is day 0 so your day 3 :) so no symptoms no cramps? What meds are you on right now? I've been waiting to test tomorrow and now it's nearly here am crapping my pants if you excuse the wording!😅

CR7 · 28/04/2023 20:36

@Vallef will be thinking of you xx

Not a thing. The nurses told me most people don't have any symptoms either way. I didn't with the last two unsuccessful ones. So many women don't know they are pregnant for a while in the normal world also.

Drugs. Ooof. A lot.

Morning
pessary
Steroids 20mg
Inhixia injection
Oestrogen 2 tablets

Evening
Progesterone injection (lubion)
Pessary

Every other night -
3 100mg oestrogen patches

Vallef · 28/04/2023 20:42

@CR7 I just had some bright red blood just now so worried it hasn't worked again god its gona be a long long night. Hate pessaries I told them I woulndy take cyclogest their a pain in the ass lol sorry couldn't resist the pun! So am taking salospir tablets in place of inhixa Injections, 8 cyclacur tablets which is a oestrogen, 3 utrogestan(progynova) per day which is progesterone and then 1 injection of lubion per day. Never heard of the patches though!

CR7 · 28/04/2023 21:02

@Vallef I find the lubion trickier than the others. I wonder whether they've given us the right needles. I have the drawing needle and the administer needles. I have never struggled with injecting myself through this but I find them more painful x

I'm only on two tiny oestrogen tablets so maybe that's why I'm on the patches. I had them for all three cycles and my mock cycle so don't really know life without them! X

CR7 · 28/04/2023 21:05

@Vallef just googled. Progynova is estradiol. That's what my patches are xx

IVF April 2023
CHARL82 · 28/04/2023 21:15

Thank you for sharing. It is something for me to look into and consider. It's not something that has been discussed with me so will have to find out more.

Vallef · 28/04/2023 21:20

@CR7 so the drawing needles I had in the UK blue ones I think I struggled to pull the medicine. But I then got some green drawing ones which were slightly longer and made life easier. Sometimes it is painfull and sometimes its ok as tummy gets abit hard. But still prefer it to the meds that go front and pessaries that was a horrible experience! Do you have anything nice planned for the long weekend? That should help pass time!

IVFlife · 28/04/2023 21:23

Hi all. I'm on day 3 of stims. Bit of advice for anyone on the patches (I have ovarian insufficiency so am on them all the time apart form when doing ivf) sometimes warming them up can keep them on longer eg hold your hand over them for a while when applying. I've heard of people using low hairdryer settings too but hands always been enough for me
