Provera to induce period?

Hi all
I’m anxiously waiting for my period to undergo my first FET, currently 2 weeks late and my clinic have prescribed provera, does anyone have experience taking this to induce a period? If so would you recommend or continue to wait for your period to naturally show up?
can’t decide what to do, any advice much appreciated.
