Cod liver help FET !!!

Help!!! I’ve been taking cod liver oil and I am 5 weeks today post IVF FET. I’m so worried have I effected anything!?

Omega 3 fish oil is good for pregnant but a lot get this confused with fish oil which is not so good as it has a lot of Vitamin A’s.
But I would try not to worry, you have realised so I would just stop taking it, as long as you’ve got a healthy diet and aren’t doing anything like drinking / smoking I would think you’ll be fine.
maybe speak to your clinic / nurses for a bit of reassurance and maybe they could do a blood test to check your vitamin A levels?

could you please update us on what the midwife said, I’m 29 weeks pregnant and I have taken 14 capsules of the seven sea cod liver oil without knowing also and I’m so worried.

I wouldn't worry.
In the UK its not recommended to take cod liver as it contains vitamin a which is harmful to baby development . It's in pre natals but in the already converted state of beta carotene.
I wouldn't stress yourself out tho .In USA their advice differs and recommend women to take vitamin a so I don't think a little will have hurt to be honest

@ChildOfTheMoon thank you so much for your comment, I have been really worried for days although my midwife said it’s gone since I stopped it and the last ultrasound didn’t detect any birth defect at all. I’m just worried because I have been seeing post, articles and write up advising pregnant women not to take cod liver oil and it’s very disturbing cause I feel I’ve hurt my baby with my negligence. Thank you once again
