NHS IVF wait time

Hey,
I am just wondering what people’s experiences are with the wait time for NHS IVF from being granted funding to physically starting a cycle? I am Oxfordshire based so would be interested to know wait times in this area.

I am Scotland and I reached the top of the list in Sept and it took until end of Feb for me to start ivf.

I live in Essex and was referred to the NHS fertility clinic at Christmas and told to expect a 12-18 month wait time (even though I’m almost 38!). We are going down the private route now.

Hello, I'm in Bedfordshire and the wait time is gruelling. GP made referral in March, initial appointment will be in June. The June appointment is only an intro to get your paperwork and not with the consultant. App with consultant is 4 months later which will be Sept or Oct. Assuming it's another chunk of time before you can even stat with IVF. It's disgraceful. The first appointment should just be with the consultant, not sure why they want us to jump through so many hoops!
