OTD and Progesterone

Hello

I am looking for peoples experiences of progesterone. I'm on Cyclogest 800mg a day - I am to test 11 days post 5 Day transfer not sure if my period would arrive before this is it was unsuccessful or if the bleed would begin after the pessaries where stopped? I usually have a 12 day LF when naturally trying.
What have anyone's experiences been?

I also wondered if anyone else had felt increasingly unwell and headaches the longer on the progesterone? I don't think my body likes it very much!

Hey! So if you're transfer wasn't successful generally you don't have a withdrawal bleed until a few days after you stop your meds.

I've found in my experience different progesterone meds give me different side effects but you can have a vast range of side effects. Hang in there!

Hello, thank you I had seen people talking about spotting just before the test date and I wasn't sure if that was common or not or a sign of AF about to start.

I was on same with a 11 day LP. I had no bleed but I knew that my tests weren't getting darker and was told to continue with the meds and wait for a miscarriage. I stopped the meds and 9 days later I had my miscarriage bleed. The progesterone will stop a bleed sometimes but ultimately you're body will override it if it needs to.

I had no headaches but some backache and cramps not long after inserting it.

From my experience, I was due to test 12dp5dt and I actually started spotting on 8dp5dt. It was full flow on 10dp5dt and even though my clinic told me to continue to take the pessaries, I tested negative on 11dp5dt and also on 14dp5dt (for my own peace of mind “just in case”!) it was till negative.

The guidance was to still take the pessaries even if you’re spotting. I always spot upto 7 days before my period, and didn’t even get away with not doing so even with taking 600mg progesterone a day!
