IVF batching appointment?

Hi,

I'm going through IVF for the first time, and my clinic apparently uses batching, where they sync up a bunch of people's cycles so you're going through the same stages at the same time.

So tomorrow I have my batching phone call, and talk about the dates for starting treatment. I've searched batching on Mumsnet and only find stuff about batch cooking 😂So wondering if anyone else has had this, and how long it took to begin treatment after being batched in?

I've not heard of 'batching' however, I can imagine it's fairly standard for clinics to try and bunch their patients together so that they are all at similar points in the cycle. It sounds like the sort of phrase that might be common in the IVF work community but isn't perhaps usually used in front of patients often. Either way good luck with your treatment! :)
