Recurrent miscarriage help

Hello everyone

I just wondered if anyone has any success stories after three unexplained miscarriages as I'm losing hope? I've lost three babies all at the 10 weeks-ish mark. I've been tested for thyroid issues, blood clotting issues and all the other blood related disorders my consultant can think of. I've also had IVF and had my embryos tested and they are genetically normal. My consultant wants to give me aspirin, heparin and progesterone for the next pregnancy but I don't see that as a magic cure as my blood results have shown no issues to treat!
Has anyone at all been in a similar situation? It seems like most people who have recurrent miscarriages have an actual problem that has been identified, I hate hearing that mine is "unexplained" and to try again. I don't know how many more miscarriages I can take Sad

Sorry to hear what you’ve been through. Have you investigated immune factors like high Nk cells? It’s a bit controversial and not treated on the NHS but a lot of women with recurrent miscarriages have found it’s their issue when other tests were normal. The medication is things like prednisolone (steroids), intralipids, hydroxycloriquin etc.

Hi op. Sorry sorry to read about your experiences. I have been in a similar situation. Between May 2021 and august 2022 I have had 5 miscarriages which I had 2 d&c’s. Both mine had various trisomy’s when tested. I am based in ireland so I was referred for all the recurrent miscarriage clinic and all my tests came back normal. The last miscarriage was IVF. We had transferred 2 embryos and ended up with pregnancy of unknown viability. This was trisomy 16 the most common cause of first trimester miscarriage.
i had another transfer in October (2 x 3bb) embryos. I used aspirin, heparin and PIO, currently 21 weeks pregnant with one. I don’t know if they helped or it’s just luck as IVF is a numbers game. I had IVF at 40 resulting in 7 embryos and my consultant said that I would be lucky if 30% were normal.
I wish you the very best of luck, this journey can be so cruel. Look after yourself xxx
