We have just started our IVF process with Reprofit Czech Republic, based on positive reviews from previous patients on mumsnet and our initial consultation.
I was wondering to anyone who has used Reprofit what the cost break down is.
Our original understanding was that the IVF treatment cost 2850 euros (2023) from initial consultation all the way to FET which includes “stimulation”. My understanding of “stimulation” is the medication. (This does not include freezing and additional FET).
After doing all the initial tests we were given a prescription to buy medication in the UK. We were surprised to find out that we have to for the medication despite the advert stating that “stimulation” is included.
Based on quick research the medicine can costs up to £2000 which totals the overall cost to almost £5000 pounds. This does not account for the flight and accommodation.
My local ivf clinic (abc) offers the same course for around £4000.
Could someone from a previous Reprofit patient explain how this clinic is still considered to be cheaper. I am sure I am missing something.
i will be contacting the clinic tomorrow to clarify the cost but some helpful advice from previous patient would be much appreciated to avoid any potential awkward conversation. tomorrow.
I am hoping there has been some mis communication and actually the medication cost are actually included in the treatment package. Otherwise the cost benefit of doing it abroad doesn’t make sense.
