Partner diagnosed with Azoospermia so should get referred straight away for IVF. Originally was refered pretty quickly but found out my partner was refered to a different hospital to me so had to call to get it changed.
Was told it was changed but after 3 weeks I called to check it was done. Doctors apparently had no request to change it so had to do it all over again. 3 months later found out because I never changed doctors and I now live in a different district I need to change doctors and get a new referral for the new district.
Change doctors get referral...seemed straight forward. Then found out was refered to a hospital outside the district so had to get referred again....then after being told we were refered found it weeks later we wasn't refered as doctor needed more tests from me before referring me despite being 3 times before I was refered.
Lesson here is what a nightmare it is just to get a referral.....also I would strongly suggest even if you have been told you are refered to constantly call the doctors and hospital you are being referred to, to make sure they have done it.
Anyone else had issues with referrals or have we just been unlucky?
