Hi

We’ve just signed up for our second round of ICSI. I’m 39 and have low AMH. I was a poor responder in my first cycle. We did a 3 day transfer with our only embryo but it didn’t take. I’ve spent ages reading threads on here over the last few months and have found the info and advice really helpful. I’ve had some conflicting advice around supplements from practitioners in my clinic and am looking for people’s experiences. I’ve bought DHEA, Ubiquinol, methylfolate and am also taking proceive conception. Does this sound fairly comprehensive? I haven’t read It Starts with the Egg but I did get some of this info from the website. It also suggested melatonin but it seems hard to get a hold of in the UK and I’ve already spent a lot of money. Is there anything else anyone would suggest? This will be our last attempt so I want to give it a good go without driving myself crazy. Thanks for reading :)

Hi, we were advised to take Impryl, as my husband has very low sperm count and my AMH / AFC is quite low for my age (37). We took it for six months before starting (were advised to take it for 3 but our start was delayed). On the day of our egg collection my husbands sperm count was normal and we couldn’t believe it! He hadn’t made any other diet or lifestyle changes. We also got more embryos make it to blast than expected and were lucky enough to have success with our first round. I’m convinced it was down to taking Impryl and would really recommend it! Good luck with your journey, I really hope it’s second time lucky for you :)
