Hello,

I've been prescribed Clomid by my consultant to try and get me ovulating. This will be my first cycle ttc with it.

Is anyone else in the same boat? I thought it would be nice to have a little support group on the go!

@Clocloxx Go you! I had that same proud feeling last time I ovulated 😂 Keep us updated!

tarrazu · 31/03/2023 12:45

@Oakley321 same here, she arrived on Saturday afternoon. Period for the whole holiday! We can't catch a break 😂but started my next round of clomid and really going to knuckle down and be on top of my low carb, low sugar diet this time, trying to stay optimistic!

How is everyone getting on? AF due this Sunday usually I get bad cramping a week before havnt had any cramps this cycle (apart from ovulation cramps) really hoping this is the month I finally get a positive:)

Clocloxx · 09/04/2023 20:47

Little update so AF arrived this morning.. ugh you would think you'd be used to the disappointment at this stage but it still hurts so much month after month living in hope ;( I'm going to book in for a scan to have my tubes checked I've a feeling they were damaged by emergency c section I had 4 years ago, how is everyone else doing?

Oakley321 · 09/04/2023 22:53

@Clocloxx I'm sorry to hear that. It never gets any easier. I also had an ECS a few years ago and have wondered the same.

Your ovulation test looked pretty strong, I know you said you didn't manage to BD on peak day so you had to do it on Ov day, but did you manage to do it the day before peak day? I've heard that it might be better than Ov day? But honestly, who really knows!?!

I'm just waiting around for a peak that feels like it'll never come (just like last month). Should be any day now, fingers crossed!

tarrazu · 12/04/2023 09:42

@Clocloxx I'm sorry for another disappointment, it's tough. Getting scanned sounds like a good plan though, at least it might move things forward a bit.

I'm not sure where I am to be honest. I'm day 19 but haven't been LH testing as it's just too stressful! Trying a low-stress cycle this time where we just crack on and wait to see. I have been noticing some EWCM over the weekend and since so hoping it means ovulation time.

Debating a Keto diet for my PCOS, has anyone tried this?

Me and my husband tried to have another baby for about 4 years. I took clomid for 5 days and I ovulated and found out 3 weeks latter I'm having a baby and recently at 8 weeks along I found out I'm having twins - https://euhealth24.com/drug/clomid

Clocloxx · 17/04/2023 16:33

@Oakley321 Oakley321 did you get your peak? I have a scan booked in for this Friday to check my tubes I've been reading ECS can do some damage, I'll let you know how mine are hopefully there was no damage!
@tarrazu I know it's very stressful with all the testing I'm going to skip all the ovulation tests this month, evening primrose tablets are very good for increasing EWCM. I don't know much about PCOS but a good diet effects everything it's ture you are what you eat ;)

Clocloxx · 21/04/2023 12:35

Hey girls so I've had my scan turns out I've a 4cm ovary cyst on my right ovary the ovary which is making eggs! There's 2 eggs ready to come out but the cyst might be blocking them 😭 my left ovary and no eggs, couldn't check my tube over the cyst either.. Dr wasn't sure if clomid caused the cyst or if it was always there and that's what is preventing me getting pregnant. I'm gonna give clomid a break and rescan in a month too see if the cyst is going away

Oakley321 · 28/04/2023 19:00

@Clocloxx I'm so sorry, what scary news. I hope those little eggs managed to pop out ok in the end. How are you feeling about it?
I ended up peaking late on CD 28, which was a big surprise. Especially after no peak at all in clomid cycle 2. We'll see what happens. It was slightly painful for several days, like on my first cycle, which makes me think I might have cysts too, but I have no idea really. I need to get a scan. I had one booked but went and fell off a minibus and fractured my wrist so ended up missing the appointment. Typical.
@tarrazu I hope you're doing well!

Clocloxx · 28/04/2023 19:25

@Oakley321 definitely go get a scan even just to confirm your ovaries are making eggs with the clomid I mean that's a good thing to know also, cysts seem to be pretty common with fertility treatments do so I'm trying not to worry and staying positive hoping at least 1 egg made it ture! It's possible you could of developed a cyst I had alot of pain which I thought was normal ovulation on clomid which obviously wasn't and having too pee ALOT especially at night was another symptom I didn't recognize, cycle day 28 seems a bit late to peak? Have you spoken with your doctor to go on a higher dose? Still do you never know it could just do the trick

Clocloxx · 17/06/2023 10:12

Hi girls how is everyone? Any success stories yet?

tarrazu · 21/06/2023 12:58

Hi! Sadly no success here, I've had a very out of sorts cycle this time for my cycles which are usually already out of sorts! I had a lot of bleeding for a long time which stopped about 3 weeks ago so I'm not sure what is going on, if we count it starting from the first day of my last period I'm having an exceptionally long cycle this time. Who knows... I have a consultant appointment coming up though so hopefully that should move things forward and maybe get some answers. Should hopefully get some more clomid too!

How are you doing @Clocloxx?

I hope you are all doing ok, it's a tough old journey isn't it. I've really tried to not focus on it for the last month or so in order to try gain a bit of my life back. Have to keep remembering that even though it hasn't happened for us it doesn't mean we put our life on hold. Perhaps once we have children we will wish we made the most of these days! Sending lots of positive vibes to everyone xxx

Sounds so rough @tarrazu long cycles are the worst.

@Clocloxx I'm afraid to say that my ttc journey is over. It's time for me to concentrate on what I've already got in my life and be the best mummy to my seven year old. I've been half absent, stuck in the infertility haze, pain and sadness for too long. I've turned down any more drugs and my partner had the snip a few days ago, otherwise the constant 'what if' would never have ended for us. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make but after a near breakdown, it was the only way to go. I still keep thinking, what if next month was going to be the one... but that's been my state for many years now.
I'll be watching you all and hoping and praying that your precious babies all come to you. Sending every last bit of baby dust to you all ❤️

tarrazu · 28/06/2023 10:41

Hi girlies, how are we doing? AF arrived unfortunately but I've had my consultant apt and will be having more clomid, higher strength and metformin. I'll also be booked in for a small operation I think a laprascopy? They want to check my tubes aren't blocked. I'm going to try Infolic as well as its supposed to be good for insulin resistance. It is good to have a plan but sad its still not happened yet.

@Oakley321 if you're still on here I'm so proud of you for making that choice and I can only hope to be as strong as you if we have to make that decision too xxx

Hey girl 💕

You're definitely not alone — I was in the exact same boat not too long ago! I started Clomid a few months back (also my first cycle TTC at the time), and I totally get how nerve-wracking and hopeful it all feels. Sending you a big hug right off the bat 🫶

I took Clomid from day 5 to day 9 of my cycle, 2 tablets a day as prescribed. Honestly, I was a little nervous at first, but it went really well. I started getting proper ovulation signs for the first time in forever — like legit strong LH surge and some textbook ovulation cramps (never thought I'd be so happy about twinges 😄). I also did a scan around day 10 to check follicles and saw some lovely growth. My consultant was super happy with the response.

And yeah, I ordered mine from this pharmacy that was recommended to me — curecarry.com/buy-clomid-uk.html. They were super quick with the delivery, no drama, and the meds were exactly what they were supposed to be. I got them in a few days and jumped right into the cycle.

xoxo
