SEVERE stage 4 endometriosis

Hi everyone, new here. I need some advice or opinions…but please only from those who have experienced the same thing.

I have been TTC for 20 months now, and was diagnosed with severe stage 4 endo in October. I had my surgery on Friday. My doctor is truly amazing and a specialist in this field. Basically all my reproductive organs were stuck y together but thankfully my tubes were cleared and I had a giant chocolate cyst on left ovary. All was removed. I've read that the best time to conceive is right after (by after I mean once you are healed).

The thing l'm struggling with... my doctor wants me to take orilissa for the next six months "to heal". Reading about it I don't see how it can heal my body anymore than a pregnancy could. I'm so confused. I have no idea what to do. On one hand I want to listen to him but on the other I've read so many other journals and forums and lust don't know what direction to take. I'm also super scared of the side effects. Despite having severe stage 4 endo, I have a very regular cycle and I have a feeling since it's all cleared I could get pregnant really easily now.

Anyone ever been in a similar boat or has taken this medication? I'm so scared on what to do.

Hello I know this was a little while ago. But I also have stage 4 endometriosis. Iv just had excision surgery for two large cysts, frozen pelvis, lots of scar tissue etc etc. My surgeon told me to ttc asap. And if it doesn’t work in a few months go straight for IVF again. It’s crazy the different advice, different doctors give!

what did you decide to do? We had IVF at the begging of the year, which was incredibly painful due to the Endo, and ended up with the embryo implanting in my pelvis, likely due to the exstensive Endo. So was ectopic 😞

this whole process is driving me abit crazy and I really want to conceive and have been trying for so many years now. Am now 34.

how was the rest of year? Were you able to conceive any advice for someone in a similar circumstance.

the more I learn and read the worst I feel, so I hope you have had a more positive year.
