Letrozole delaying ovulation

Hi all,

I'm on CD18 & still no positive ovulation tests. I had a very uncomfortable HyCoSy on CD6 then started my 5 days of Letrozole 2.5mg.

Do you think starting the Letrozole later in the cycle would have caused the delay in ovulation?

Jeez, everyday is just a waiting day! Trying to conceived baby #2. First DD was ivf but recently had a failed cycle so went back to our gyno he recommended fertility drugs because PCOS.

my LO is 5 I did few FETs in the past few years they were day 6 embryos they’ve never stuck I got so fed up. Have you ovulated on own clomid never worked for me years ago before ivf. Do you have regular cycles? Letrezole is good for us women with pcos it does take a few cycles as body is getting use to it. I still can’t believe it worked I’ve Never ovulated on own In my life, I tested over weekend I didn’t have symptoms I thought it was acid reflux all this time I was throwing food up.

Hey @Sweet211 no I've never ovulated on my own, we had a MC with clomid before we moved onto successful with ivf. I went back to regular cycles after LO was born but before it was 45 days cycles, so long!

I'm having a down moment today, it's the constant waiting! Have you phoned the GP for a blood test? Keep us posted xx

@FETmum have you tried cupping or accupunture? Helps to regulate cycles my cycles have been like more than 50 days. I’ve not been for bloods I’m booked in for a scan next week x

@Sweet211 I came on my period yesterday which meant 14 days after my positive ovulation stick. Double the dose tomorrow. I'm back in the game! Good luck with your scan keep us posted x

Fingers crossed 🤞 for you. How many cycles have you had for Letrezole? I conceived on 4th I took 2 tablets from day 2 to day 6 and tried to bed from day 11 every other day, I used pre-seed I didn’t take extra vitamins just took the normal folic acid and vit d. Wishing you luck and keep me posted I’ll be thinking of you. I’m going through anxiety right now I’ve got cramps.

@Sweet211 anxiety is completely normal & those cramps are probably your body preparing to grow the bubba. How you feeling today?

This would be our second round of Letz but first time on the double dose. Took two tablets last night on CD2. Here goes weeks of waiting for me, the usual

@FETmum im feeling ok I don’t feel pregnant I’ve got scan on Thursday. Hopefully it should work this tablet is good for women with pcos more success rate it just takes time for your system to get use to they say it can take 3 cycles fingers crossed 🤞. I used cheap ovulation tests I didn’t even get a dark line but I just bedded every other day and more at early mornings think it’s high sperm count 🤷‍♀️

I finally ovulated on day 40 with 2.5mg letrozole
