Really really struggling to lose weight after mild IVF

Has anyone had the same experience? I had my first IVF cycle in Oct 22 with ABC and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of side effects apart from a little bloating. The cycle unfortunately ended in miscarriage and I admit to comfort eating for most of December.

Fast forward till now and I'm struggling to lose the stone I've put on. I'm taking vitamin b6, magnesium, exercising every day, calorie counting - nothing. My body doesn't feel like mine, it's really flabby/poor muscle tone and my stomach feels heavy. I'm also retaining water and feel bloated with no appetite - nothing I do seems to help. I've struggled with eating disorders/poor body image in the past and this is really triggering me.

Can anyone offer advice/help?

No advice but I wanted to let you know you're not alone. I also had my first transfer last October which ended in miscarriage. I had lost 3 stone before starting IVF and the depression that followed caused some Olympic level binge eating. I haven't been able to get the motivation to lose it again and I've just had another failed cycle so you're doing better than me for trying. It sucks.

@clhsgirl Thank you for your reply and I'm so sorry to hear of your miscarriage/failed cycle. I'm aiming for another cycle in April as I don't think I'll be mentally ready to try again until at least then so I'm very in awe of your bravery at doing another cycle so soon after the first one. I hope you have someone who is taking care of you?
