Hi everyone,

I'm 33, been having fertility treatment for 3 years. In that time I've had 2 rounds of IVF/ICSI and 4 rounds of IUI (our problems are male factor - now using donor sperm for IUI).

I've just been prescribed letrozole 2.5mg to take in the lead up to next IUI round, in the hope it will boost our chances.

The thing is they haven't found anything wrong with my fertility - I ovulate regularly - but they said to try this and see if it helps. My BMI is a little high (29).

I'm a bit nervous because I responded really badly to IVF and had hyperstimulation twice with it ending up in A&E. I'm worried this medication will affect me badly - my body seems to hate hormones being messed with!

So, has anyone had a similar background to me and tried letrozole? How did you get on? Any success stories?

I also wondered how many women have taken it and ended up with more than 2 follicles (particularly in 30's with no known fertility issues?)

My clinic say they will abandon the cycle if there's more than 2 follicles.
