Embryo Grading

We had an egg collection last week and got 4 fertilised eggs - they rang this morning with the day 3 gradings and 1 is grade A (woo) but 3 are grade C.. has anyone else had a grade C embryo? Will they improve over the next couple of days? Are they good enough to freeze?

Bumping it for you as I don't have experience with this grading system. My Day 3 embryos were graded as 1 (five of them) and 2 (three of them), but there was a big drop off between Day 3 and Day 5 so I ended up with only 1 good quality blast and 2 poor ones. Think the drop off rate from initial fertilised eggs has something to do with women's age, but the drop off rate from Day 3 is said to be associated with sperm quality.

Though when I read my report more carefully afterwards, even the embryos graded as 1 were not the best kind of 8-cell embryos so I suspect that played a part too.

Hope it helps and good luck!

Grading depends on a clinic, and only one of the factors impacting final results.
