Baseline scan ivf help

Hi everyone,

This is my first post (although I’ve been reading silently posts on here for months)

I had my baseline scan for IVF (first round) today on day 1 of my cycle (closed for weekend so they got me in today). They could only see 3 follicles on my right and the left they had trouble finding but only found 2 that were very small. I’m really worried this is such a small number. Did anyone else grow any more follicles after stimming ? Could it have made a difference the scan wasn’t done on day 2/3, can follicles be too small to see if the scan is done earlier ?

Finding this whole process really overwhelming, and I feel like I don’t really understand it all! I’m 33 and I have AMH of 9.

I had an AMH of 6 when we did IVF and my AFC was also 6 at my baseline scan. I did have other follicles develop when stimulated but still only had 6 eggs collected. Of these 5 fertilised and 1 was viable for transfer, who is now 18 months old ❤️ With an AMH of 9 you probably aren't going to have really high numbers. They will be able to advise you as you go along how things are looking and if there aren't enough well developed follicles by collection day they will give you the option to cancel the cycle. It's early days, see how you get on once you start your stims. Good luck 🤞

I had similar counts, I am 29. My left was hard to view as my bowel was not empty! (To much info sorry).

After the stims I had a total of 11 follicles.

I' currently have one embryo back in me but that was all I had. Its around having the faith and not letting it get you down.

I will keep my fingers crossed!
