Day 21 Test booked in for 3dpo

I had my first appointment with the gp last week and she's booked me in for my day 21 test for this Friday when I'll be on CD18 and only 3dpo. I did explain this on the phone but she said it would be fine.

My ovulation date varies so I was hoping it would be an early one but I'm confident ovulation is today which makes Friday 3dpo.

Should I cancel my appointment and request a reschedule or shall I just hope they can provide me with some information.

I understood the ‘day 21’ test to be a progesterone checker to see if you ovulated that cycle. Higher progesterone indicates ovulation took place. Therefore your GP is likely correct that it doesn’t matter if it’s just 3 days after ovulation because it is only ovulation they are checking.
