2 small follicles

Advice/support please,

This is my 1 round of IVf, I was 8 days STIMs 150mls Lutrorpin, no follicles after
8 days, counuined with 150mls Meriofert, 7 days scan, showed two small follicles.. was advised no more meds and to see if they grow on their
own over the next 7 days! Has any experience with this before ..

Hello, I see Lutropin is Luteinising Hormone (LH), it's odd that they've prescribed you this to stimulate. You need FSH to make the follicles grow, LH can be added a few days later to supplement. A study has shown that LH early in your cycle can prevent follicle growth -

"Although a minimum level of serum LH is required for optimum growth, excess LH can cause follicular growth arrest and prevent growing follicles from reaching the late antral stage."

Start of your period is cycle day 1 (CD1), you need to start FSH (this could be Fostimon) between CD2-CD4 and then 3/4 days later start Meriofert which is FSH and LH, along with Cetrotide to prevent ovulation. This is the protocol I'm currently on and I've had a much better outcome than my first IVF round!
