Clomid, when does it work😭

Hi all, me and my husband have been trying to conceive for 3 years now and no success.
in august last year I got diagnosed with low ovarian reserve. I am 26 yrs old with pcos.
4 years ago I’ve had a baby only took 8 months to conceive but no problems at all.
in October I started clomid 50mg didn’t work the first month, missed the scan on my second cycle and worked on my third ones( I was ovulating but not getting pregnant)
in December when I got my period they decided to prescribe me 100mg clomid so I started it and worked I ovulated again, I had a blood test confirming it. I didn’t get pregnant, took a test and it’s negative.
what’s going on? I only have two more month and if it doesn’t work I’ll have to go with the ivf. Anyone else in this situation? Give me some hope please 🙏🏻

I’m also in this situation! It didn’t work for me either. I ovulated but didn’t get pregnant. I’ve resigned myself to the high likelihood of IVF and am just trying to get mentally and physically prepared 😕

I was on Clomid for 10 months and got pregnant twice (miscarried both times). I did find that both times we got pregnant was in the first 5 months. After that, it didn’t seem to work for us. We then moved to ivf and it worked.

I was on clomid for 6 months, didn’t work at all. IVF worked for us 🙏.

hi, when you say it didn’t work does it mean you were not ovulating.? Xx

So, is it true then? With clomid we’re more likely to miscarriage? 😭

@Lorelail Sorry I mean I was ovulating but it had no effect. I’m a clomid baby though and it worked for my mum after 3 months. Think if it doesn’t work after 9 months they like to move you onto IVF…we stopped at 6 because I was clearly ovulating but it didn’t make a difference. We think our issue is the quality of the eggs/sperm so simply ovulating didn’t help. I have never read it increases miscarriage risk. If you do new to move onto IVF,,it’s highly effective, good luck

I’m in the same situation 4 cycle all together but I had 50mg first month then 3 on 100mg just in the 2 week wait to see if it’s worked this month I’m in cycle day 21 and only got really sore nipples atm and I’ve really noticed them this month so praying this is the month it’s driving me mad tbh xxx

I completed 4 cycles, ovulated but didn't get pregnant.

I'm on the second cycle. Last month I started with 100mg and didn't ovulate (I have pcod) so just ended up with a cyst.
This month my dose went up to 150mg and the follicle ruptured and I did ovulate. Waiting for 2 weeks, hoping for the best.
