Egg/ embryo drop off rates! - Success stories?

Hi ladies,

Wondered if anyone would be able to share any success stories (I’m probably being irrational and I blame the bum bullet progesterone making me hormonal and crazy) lol!!!

I had my first ever EC yesterday, we got 11 eggs (I was slightly disappointed as I expected more with my age but super super grateful!) we had the call this morning -
9 mature, and ICSI was done on them
out of the 9 only 5 have fertilised and they’ve booked me in for a 5 day transfer.

I can’t help but be stupidly irrational and worry that none of those 5 will make it to day 5!? Like only 5 fertilised out of 9 seems a big drop? And I know it’ll drop further! Ahhhh someone save me from myself 😂

I know it’s so completely unique to every person, but I’d love to hear some other stories 💖

We had 9 eggs, 7 mature, 5 fertilised, two got to blastocyst. One fresh transfer, one frozen, both successfully transferred, I now have two beautiful children. Fingers crossed for you.

Totally normal OP. My last round 10 eggs collected, 5 fertilised, 2 made it to blastocyst, both transferred (I was over 40 so double transfers carries less risk of multiples) 1 stuck. He's now asleep in my arms.

Hi, I am considered a poor responder. Have been batching and freezing.

Cycle 1 - 3 eggs, 2 fertilised, 1 to blast
Cycle 2 - 2 eggs, 1 fertilised, 1 to blast
Cycle 3 - 2 eggs, 2 fertilised, 2 to blast

I also had 5 cycles in between this where no folicles developed.

Thanks so much lovely. Excited, nervous and all the emotions!! Been having some post egg collection light brown bleeding in the mornings - so feeling a little stressed about that. But I’ve emailed the clinic and hopefully it’s just my body repairing ready for Monday!! 🥰

@Izzie94x I totally know how you feel! We had 9 eggs collected and only 3 fertilised, it was such a massive shock to the system. But thankfully we had one great blastocyst make it. Transferring it soon so 🤞🏼

@SPR40 thanks so much!! I’m so shocked, but all 5 made it to blastocyst! I really could not believe it. I’m so thankful! All that stressing for no reason. 1 beautiful blast transferred, and now the 10 day wait begins ✨💘 x
